FAQ

Which devices and browsers are supported?

This beta supports Windows 10/11 and macOS. Chrome is the only supported browser.

Why is a browser extension needed?

The desktop app recognises and translates audio, while the extension displays and controls captions on the live page.

Which live platforms are supported?

Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and Kick.

Cannot enable it on YouTube?

Switch network nodes first, refresh the live page, then try again.

Do I need to sign in?

Yes. An Immersive Translate account is required.

What if the desktop app does not show “Browser extension connected”, or there is no pink icon in the player?

Make sure you are using Chrome and that both the desktop app and extension are the latest beta-provided versions. If the issue persists, send your version, platform, and a screenshot.

Will it work for every live stream and network?

This is a beta feature. Experience can vary with the stream content, platform status, and network conditions; activation in every case and zero delay are not guaranteed.

Are replays or other platforms supported?

This beta covers only live pages on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook, and Kick. Replays and unlisted platforms are outside the current scope.
